Comparison....

I wish I had pictures of Jimmy and I at 4 months to do a comparison, but I don't have them, so here are some other pictures:

I think he definitely has my ears...looks like they stick out a little. But the rest I think is a good mix.

Frumpty Dumpty....

...is what I feel like right now. It's like, no matter what time of the day it is, I look like I just rolled out of bed. Even though I've showered, put a dab of makeup on and brushed my hair, I can't help but just feel.....frumpy. There is no other word for it. I'm not back to my pre-pregnancy weight yet, which probably has something to do with that feeling. It's tough in the summer time here, it's too hot to get outside with Carson and it's hard to find time to go to the gym. Anyways, I'm thinking about getting my hair cut. Not just a little trim, I'm thinking something around shoulder length. I like my long hair, but all I do is pull it back. What do you all think?? It scares me, but I figure if I do it now, it can grow back a little before I have to start work and actually be seen be people I respect. Maybe it will give me the motivation I need to make time to go to the gym.

Carson turned 4 months old yesterday! We headed to the doc for his check up and shots. He was 16 lbs 6 ounces and 25.5 inches long. He was in the 75th percentile of everything, which was a big jump from his 2 month visit where he was in the 50th percentile of everything. Growing boy! We do have to go in for an ultrasound on Thursday to check out his boy parts. Doc thought it may be a condition called Hydrocele where there is some extra fluid where it isn't supposed to be, but from my understanding it's nothing major. Just something to keep an eye on.

After his shots, he was all over the map. Fussy one second, happy the next. Right before Jimmy took this picture, he had a huge pouty lip going.

This past week I signed Carson up for daycare. We found a place that we really liked and although I don't go back to work for another 2 months, we needed to get a spot booked before they filled up. We're going to ease into it. His first day will be Sept. 20th and he'll go 2 days a week for a half day. Then sometime in October he'll start going 4 or 5 days a week for half days then eventually go full time when I go back to work. I felt like I was signing him up for his first day of school! The place we found is a daycare, preschool and kindergarten so I'm sure the process was much the same. It's bittersweet, I look forward to getting back into the game and the business of golf which I love, but I hate the thought of missing out on all of Carson's little moments. I think he'll have fun though, it will be good for him to be around other kids and other people.

In the mean time, we have booked our plane tickets and are really looking forward to heading up to Washington next month to see Jimmy's family! We haven't seen his parent's since Carson was born, and Carson has family up there that he hasn't met yet, so it will be a great trip and we'll get relief from the heat!

Back from our trip....

We're finally back home after almost 2 weeks in Indiana! Tons of family time, seeing friends, a wedding, horse camp......it went by so fast! There are a ton of pictures, but the only one's that I brought back with me are those of Carson (go figure).

Visiting with the great grandparent's:

While I was gone, Jimmy went to Florida for 4 days to complete his PGA schooling and he passed everything. They have testing, an interview process and you must give a presentation over an industry topic. I'm very proud of him for finishing the entire process (it took about 4 years). Now we are both certified, Class A, PGA Golf Professionals. For those of you non-golfers, it's basically like having a college degree in the golf world....almost a must for certain jobs in the industry nowadays.

More posts to come! I'm exhausted as Carson is going through a phase where he seems to be up almost every hour of the night. Can't figure it out for the life of me. Jimmy was even woken up last night..........actually, I think he would have slept through it all had I not had a minor outburst when getting up for the about the 4th time in 2 hours just to go into Carson's room, insert the paci and try, for the love of God, to position him so that he would fall and stay asleep!!!! Oh well, I'm just thankful that I don't have to get up and go to work yet.....I'm hoping by that time, he will be sleeping sound through the night! Of course, he's fast asleep right now and I'm wide awake after my 3rd cup of coffee. :)
