OK, so today was a just a weird day. I don't' want to say it was bad, because it really wasn't, but just weird. All the weirdness occurred at work, so it was so nice to come home and just be around a normal person (and dog). I'm not sure what ever possessed me to get into a business where I have to deal with people every day. As a kid, I would hardly talk to people. Now I'm in a customer service business where I have to talk to people most of the day. That's weird in itself. So, the weirdest part (there were others) was that a man, who was well off, owned his own clothing store and belonged to a country club, walked in a STOLE a golf club. What?! The part the upsets me the most is that is was right in front of my nose and it was all caught on camera! I turned my back for a second to make a phone call regarding his supposed 'lost club' and while I was doing that he stashed a driver behind one of the doors that is propped open leading into the clubhouse. I turn back around, we chatted for a bit, parted ways and he walked away with one of our drivers. Oh what I would like to say to him!! But I'm not. It got reconciled. Not how I would have like it to, but nonetheless...it's done.
Anyways, no need to dwell on that.
I found an awesome salmon recipe, but even mo' betta is an awesome asparagus recipe that i found. I have never been able to find a really tasty recipe for asparagus, it always lacks flavor. But this grill recipe will make you want to eat asparagus every night:

Honestly, the skewers are unnecessary. You can easily grill them without, but they offer an aesthetic value I suppose. Trust me...I ruined 2 pieces of asparagus and ended up with a splinter.....you don't need the skewers. Also, here is an fantastic salmon recipe: http://www.cookinglight.com/food/quick-healthy/quick-easy-superfast-asian-recipes-00400000047614/page5.html
The wasabi doesn't make it too hot. It's not spicy at all, but has great flavor. Jimmy grilled the salmon as opposed to baking it.
I also started trying to figure out how to edit my pictures a bit. I discovered Photobucket. I had heard a lot about it, but have never used the website...until tonight. There is so much I can do, I wish that I had discovered it sooner! However, when I import the pictures to the blog they show up huge..so I need to find a way to downsize them a bit. At any rate, here are a couple pictures of Tuxedo eating an ice cube that I couldn't figure out how to put into a collage:

Occasionally we have an errant golf ball travel into our yard. This week, we found 2 golf balls, one next to the fence and one plugged in our yard next to our grapefruit tree. You have to understand that someone had to hit the worst shot in the history of golf to wind up in our yard. I'm talking like it would have to travel through trees, across a 6 lane road and over an 9 foot fence!! Wow.

Well, Jimmy just informed me that he would like to go with Tux and I on our nightly walk, so off we go!! Peace out!
HAHA! your "errant" golf balls made me laugh out loud! Too funny! At least they're landing in your yard and not through your windows! Thanks for sharing the recipes...I'm gonna try them. I could live on salmon and asaragus. And I can't believe that dude at work. I still want more details, so we need to chat. YOU didn't have to do the confrontation, did you?!?! AWKWARD.
ReplyDeleteYa, Jimmy is freaked out about the golf balls...he's afraid he's just going to be mowing the grass one day and get knocked out by a golf ball. Hopefully not!! Yes, try the recipes, you'll love them and by the way the book I'm reading is starting out good, but I haven't gotten too far into it, so I'll let ya know!
