Everything is good in the Morse household. I had Tuesday and Wednesday off work this week. Jimmy and I and some other guys played golf at Jimmy's course on Tuesday. It was a beautiful day and I forced Jimmy to snap a couple pictures of me. He was more than willing, however, he refused to actually step out of the golf cart and take them in fear of his buddies thinking he is all of a sudden into photography. So the pictures of me were taken while nonchalantly sitting in the golf cart.
Above, Jimmy is trying to figure out his shot from a tough lie.
Wednesday morning, Jimmy didn't have to go into work until 11....so, I'm just going to say it.....
I walked into the family room after checking my e-mail just to find Jimmy and Tux watching cartoons. Like, an old school Tom and Jerry cartoon. I just had to laugh. I didn't even say anything...like "are you really watching a cartoon?" or "how old are you?" I guess age is just a number. We should never be too old to find humor in cartoons I suppose.
So, anyhow, Wednesday evening, we met up with my co-workers at a nearby restaurant for a get together before the seasonal guys headed out of town. Then on Thursday night we got invited out to dinner as a 'thank-you' for golf on Tuesday. It's been a fun week. I'm happy to be at home in my pj's tonight though, instead of 'out on the town.'
I've taken Tux on a few more hikes over the past week, however, because of Jimmy's concern of Tux and I running into a rattlesnake, we have resigned to the dog park. I can't blame him, it concerns me too, simply because it's getting hotter and that is when the snakes like to show themselves. We didn't see any snakes on the hikes, the only incident that occurred happened when Tux saw a jack rabbit and took OFF like he was a thoroughbred racehorse who was bursting out of the starting gate. My heart sunk for a second thinking that I had just lost our dog forever. I was trying to run as best I could in the thick sand, while carrying a water bottle and camera...I'm sure I looked REAL cool. Finally, I jumped up on a rock and spotted the darn dog about 100 yards away and just made my way to him since he seemed to suffer temporary hearing loss. I could only chuckle at the fact that anyone within ear shot was just hearing a winded crazy lady yelling 'TUXEDO!'
Anyhow, here are some pictures of one of our hikes (not the one mentioned above).
I was trying to get him to sit next to the sign at the top of one of the hill's we hiked to, but this is what I got. I'm not sure how I captured him with his eyes closed, it looks like he's asleep.
Since the desert is really heating up, I couldn't help but purchase a doggie pool. I didn't' get a great picture, but I think he likes cooling off. This picture actually makes him look like a giant, but the pool is just his size.
Hope you all enjoy, I'll update more soon!!
love ya'll
I love the picture of Tux not cooperating for his photo! It's cuter that way. :) Love your hiking shots...makes Pudge's neighborhood walks look B-O-R-I-N-G. Wish I could teleport myself to Cali for daily walks/hikes together! Miss you...counting the days 'til you're Indy-bound!!!
ReplyDeleteCrysi, I used to come home with the boys and walk in and there was Erick watching Bob the Builder or some other cartoon and the kids weren't even home!! It must be a boy thing :)
